Special Projects Leadership / Operating Strategy / AI Adoption

I turn ambiguous
mandates into operating
systems that move.

I establish ground truth, improve decisions, and align technical and operating teams around high-stakes launches, capacity choices, AI adoption, and transformations.

01 / Selected mandates

The work starts where
the playbook ends.

The setting changes. The operating pattern does not: connect constraints, economics, ownership, and execution until leaders can make the call and teams can move.

Tesla · Energy Manufacturing

Make capacity economically executable.

Scale only matters when the constraint, investment, and financial consequence are understood together.

  • Capacity economics
  • AI adoption
  • Global planning

Mandate
Build a global capacity roadmap across Megapack manufacturing sites and lead AI adoption strategy for Energy Manufacturing.
System
Model capacity, labor, unit cost, and investment timing; sequence a $23M portfolio; prioritize AI use cases and define the adoption roadmap.
Outcome
3.2× production scale, $260M in annualized savings, and $156M in incremental annual profit.

Apple · iPhone India

Build a global operation from zero.

A launch becomes real when site, supplier, line, regulation, and demand move through the same readiness system.

  • Zero-to-one launch
  • Supplier readiness
  • Geographic risk

Mandate
Launch iPhone manufacturing in India under exacting quality, regulatory, and timing requirements.
System
Drive site selection, supplier qualification, line readiness, and the ramp to mass production.
Outcome
293% unit growth, revenue growth from $2B to $10B, and exports expanded from 6 to 40+ countries.

Waymo · Engineering Operations

Create decision cadence in a complex organization.

When hardware, software, fleet, product, and legal teams see the same operating truth, leadership can move faster.

  • Executive cadence
  • Resource planning
  • Decision systems

Mandate
Translate organizational priorities into an executable operating system for a safety-critical engineering environment.
System
Build annual planning, OKRs, resource plans, business reviews, dashboards, and decision milestones.
Outcome
A repeatable leadership cadence that surfaced bottlenecks and reduced reliance on ad-hoc reporting.

Tesla · 4680

Bring emerging technology through launch readiness.

The job is not to make uncertainty disappear. It is to give the organization a disciplined way to move through it.

  • Stage gates
  • Launch readiness
  • Emerging technology
PilotPlatform
Mandate
Advance Project Roadrunner from an early battery-cell pilot toward a production-ready platform.
System
Establish stage gates, readiness reviews, supplier coordination, and cross-functional launch ownership.
Outcome
A production-ready platform aligned across engineering, production, and supply chain for Battery Day.

02 / How I operate

Think from first principles.
Operate as a system.

I start by separating facts from assumptions and mapping how the system actually behaves. Then I remove what does not serve the outcome, make the decision and ownership explicit, and build the feedback loop that lets the solution scale.

  1. 01

    Ground truth

Reduce the mandate to its outcome, constraints, economics, and assumptions.

  2. 02

    System map

Trace the dependencies, incentives, bottlenecks, and feedback loops.

  3. 03

    Simplify

Remove work, requirements, and complexity that do not serve the outcome.

  4. 04

    Commit

Make the tradeoff, accountable owner, and next move explicit.

  5. 05

    Compound

Install the cadence, feedback, and selective automation that let the system improve as it scales.

03 / Experience

Built inside organizations
where execution is strategy.

04 / Operating philosophy

Calm is a
form of leverage.

The highest-stakes work rarely needs more noise. It needs a clear view of reality, thoughtful decisions, and a team that knows exactly how to move together.

That is the environment I try to create: rigorous enough to earn trust, simple enough to use, and calm enough for people to do their best work.

05 / Start a conversation

If the mandate matters
and the path is unclear,
let’s talk.
